Ernest Cassara again shows his prejudice against Israel and demonstrates his inability to be morally discriminate. He equates HAMAS with ISRAEL because both use violence. I suppose he would equate the U.S. military during WWII with HAMAS since our troops, like HAMAS, used violence, too.
Look at the goals of HAMAS and you will conclude in a moment (as so many countries have) that it is a terrorist organization which has no compunctions about savagely murdering civilians as well as soldiers.
Israel is not beyond criticism but let us be fair.
1. The annual Race to Mackinac, a sailing race from Chicago to Mackinac Island at the top of Lake Michigan is competed in by boats of varying classes and sizes. The over-all winner is determined not on the fastest time alone, but on a complex handicapping formula to account to the differences in the competing boats. Neither the sailors or those following the race can determine the outcome until the judges perform their calculations well after the leading boats are in (some slow boats may still be out.)
2. The Chicago River has flowed backwards since 1900. Originally emptying into Lake Michigan, sewage in the river was polluting the lake, the city's source of drinking water. In what was considered at the time one of the engineering marvels of the age, the flow of the river was reversed sending the sewage on a long journey that would eventually lead to the Mississippi and the Gulf of Mexico. And they say Chicago isn't generous!
